Job Description

A regional hospital located in southwestern Indiana is seeking a Nurse Manager for their Cardiovascular Universal Bed unit located within the recently opened Heart Hospital. The Heart Hospital offers the latest in diagnostic and treatment technology, additional state-of-the-art cath labs and open-heart and vascular operating suites, and cardiac diagnostic imaging.

Designed in partnership with the Heart Group, the Heart Hospital is based on a unique "universal patient room" design. The 24 bed Universal Bed unit has all the necessary equipment immediately available in each room, allowing a patient to remain in one room for the entirety of his or her hospital stay.

The Nurse Manager assumes a leadership role and 24 hour responsibility for the overall operation for patient care unit. Working closely with the Director to plan, organize, direct, maintain, and evaluate patient care and unit activities within accepted policies and procedures.

A Master of Science degree in Nursing is required. The selected candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience as a nurse manager of an ICU/CCU with solid critical care skills. He or she will be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint), and have strong customer service skills. An active, unrestricted Indiana Nursing license is required.
