Job Description

Pitt County Memorial Hospital is an 800-bed Level I trauma center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at ECU. PCMH provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.2 million people in 29 counties.

The newly opened East Carolina Heart Institute is the first facility of its kind in Eastern North Carolina – devoted exclusively to education, research, training and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. We have created a facility that takes cardiovascular care to the next level by implementing the latest techniques and utilizing the most cutting-edge, state-of-the-art equipment. Cardiovascular ICU Manager

Responsible for coverage of 24-hour Program Management and Planning. Monitor program development and implementation; acting as change agent for improvements and program revisions. Set and implement goals in alignment with PCMH mission and strategic plans. Formulate written policies and procedures and keep job descriptions current. The Manager acts as a public relations conduit to increase customer awareness of services offered. Work to implement the interdisciplinary unit and QI activities; creating an environment for empowerment. A BS in Nursing, Business, Healthcare or related field; MSN is preferred. NCRN license is needed with 3-5 years of clinical background. We prefer two years of management/charge nurse experience. (One year of additional graduate education may be substituted for one year of the required experience.)
