Job Description

We are currently searching for experienced nurses in the D.C. Metro Region who desire to work in Home Hemodialysis. In this role you will focus on continually improving the quality of life for our patients. Home Hemo Nurses are responsible for providing education, training, case management and support of the Home Dialysis patient. The Home Dialysis nurse trains patients to assume primary responsibility for their own health maintenance, orient patients to home dialysis program and train the patient in home dialysis techniques.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

1. Licensed RN in the state of practice.

2.One year experience as an RN in chronic hemodialysis preferred (able to train non-dialysis RN''s in some cases). CNN desirable.

3.Training or teaching experience/background encouraged - preferably in a home therapy environment including experience in Peritoneal Dialysis, Home Hemodialysis, Short Daily HD and/or Self-Care HD.

4.Current BLS certification.

5.Demonstrated clear and compassionate communication skills.

6.Case management experience preferred.
