Job Description

South Miami Hospital is seeking a highly skilled ICU Nurse with a positive, caring, and excellent team player attitude to work on our NIGHTS ICU/SICU Team. South Miami Hospital enjoys an excellent reputation for quality care in many areas, including award-winning maternity services, help for infants and children with developmental delays and disabilities, addiction treatment, weight-loss surgery, diabetes services, a comprehensive cancer program, and a wide range of outpatient services and cardiovascular services. The hospital was recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence in 2004, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a part of American Nurses Association. It was also on Solucient’s list of top 100 hospitals in the country, based on several quality indicators.

This is a fairly fast paced setting with 16 beds. Average patient to nurse ratio is 2:1 or 1:1 Our RN''s are highly supported by a competent and caring management team, as well as Patient Care Technicians as census dictates. In addition, we believe in supporting our team by offering the best technology.

Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, and be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida. In addition, the ideal candidate must have:

ACLS, BLS certifications.
Minimum 1 year experience in acute care critical care required. 3-5 years critical care experience desired.
IABP and CRRT experience desired.
Open heart experience preferred.
This is a Full Time position working 2 weekends per month with “wish list” scheduling. We also offer weekend contracts
