Job Description

Baptist Hospital is seeking a highly skilled ICU Nurse with a positive, caring, and excellent team player attitude to work NIGHTS on our ICU Team. Highly qualified staff and the finest technology provide a model for treatment capabilities equaled by few other community hospitals. In 1996, Baptist Hospital was one of only four Florida organizations to receive the prestigious Governor''s Sterling Award for total quality management. In 1998, Baptist was recognized as a Magnet hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nursing Credentialing Center, an affiliate of the American Nursing Association. At the time, Baptist was the first hospital in the state to receive the distinguished designation. In 2002, Baptist Hospital was re-awarded Magnet status for excellence in nursing through the year 2006.

This is fast paced setting with 32 ICU beds. Average patient to nurse ratio is 2:1 or 1:1 Our RN''s are highly supported by a competent and caring management team, as well as Patient Care Technicians and 24 hour Intensivists. In addition, we believe in supporting our team by offering the best technology.

Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, and be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida. In addition, the ideal candidate must have:

ACLS, BLS certifications.
Minimum 1 year experience in acute care critical care preferred.
CRRT and IABP preferred.
Experience with neuro ICU, subdural drains, CAT/MRI, open heart, and pacemakers desired.
Good documentation skills required.
This is a Full Time position working 2 weekends per month in a department with self scheduling.
