Job Description
CCU professional nursing staff cares for critically ill or unstable patients who require advanced physical assessment, continuous cardiac monitoring, measures to improve and maintain respiratory function and invasive therapies to maintain hemodynamic stability. The patient population will include patients with varying levels of independence in activities of daily living who may require significant hands-on direct care support. Medical diagnoses common to the CCU include: acute MI, CHF, dysrhythmias, respiratory failure, septic shock, unstable post-op patients and patients experiencing poisoning/toxic drug effects.
