Job Description
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Director of Critical Care will be responsible for the overall direction and strategic planning for the 8-bed ICU, as well as the 7-bed progressive care unit and will oversee 33 FTEs. Qualified candidates will be Master’s preferred; BSN prepared professionals who are clinically competent, financially and political savvy, capable of facilitating change and articulating outcomes, as well as being process driven. Additionally, an assertive, diplomatic personality with a self-motivating leadership style and the ability to take critical care to the next level is also desired.
The Hospital
The 146-bed, non-profit, Joint Commission and CARF accredited medical center is located on a 45-acre campus, offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services and is the medical hub between Seattle and Minneapolis. A level III trauma center with an outstanding rehabilitation center, and a designated stroke center, the hospital continues to grow its neurology, orthopedics and cardiovascular services. The hospital employs over 1,100 people and the Medical Staff consists of 300 physicians and 57 allied health staff.
The Community
This thriving community of 57,000 is nestled in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. The city is rich in cultural attractions ranging from symphony, arts, live theatre, historical museums, shops, galleries and numerous sporting activities and events.
