Job Description

The Acute Dialysis Patient Care Technician performs duties in various licensed acute hospitals and sub-acute facilities that have contracted with (login to see company) to provide dialysis and other services to patients of and under the license of the acute facility. Responsibilities include set-up and monitoring the dialysis equipment and delivery systems during treatment, responding to visual and audible alarms and making appropriate adjustments. This position performs equipment safety checks, as well as dismantles, cleans and disinfects equipment. Additionally, regular communication with the Acute Program Office throughout the day is required in order to plan, confirm, coordinate and organize assignments, as well as provide inventory and equipment needs or notification of any equipment malfunctions.

High school diploma or GED
Current dialysis technician certification, as required by state law
Current BLS certification
One year of experience in a chronic dialysis facility or other related field
Computer and telephone skills required
Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
Ability to work on-call and/or rotating schedules when required
